ECO2GROW and Alleima launch partnership for direct green electricity procurement from a German wind farm.

Alleima GmbH, a leading manufacturer of high value-added products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys as well as products for industrial heating, has been relying on a sustainable energy supply through direct wind power procurement since January 2025.

As part of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with ECO2GROW, the company now sources electricity directly from a German wind farm to power three of the company’s facilities in Germany: Werther, Halle, and Nohfelden. This agreement enables Alleima to make its energy supply more environmentally friendly, ensure cost stability, and make an active contribution to the energy transition.

Paul Appel, CEO of ECO2GROW, said: "With Alleima, we have gained a strong partner who demonstrates how industrial companies are actively contributing to the energy transition. Wind energy is an important building block for a sustainable energy supply, and we are pleased to support Alleima with our expertise and solutions."

“Our partnership with ECO2GROW marks a significant milestone in our long-term commitment to climate-conscious manufacturing,” explained Martin König, Head of Energy Procurement at Alleima GmbH. “Switching to wind power at these three facilities not only enables us to measurably reduce our carbon footprint, it also aligns with our broader mission to lead by example in sustainable industrial innovation.

“At Alleima, we view responsible energy sourcing as a strategic priority which supports both our environmental goals and aligns with the expectations of our customers and stakeholders. This initiative reinforces our ambition to drive meaningful change, inspire progress across the value chain, and ensure that sustainability remains at the core of how we operate at the highest standards.”

The partnership marks the beginning of a closer collaboration in which both companies aim to actively leverage the opportunities offered by changing electricity markets to secure competitiveness while accelerating the energy transition.
